Suppressor Compatible Flash Hider

The Rearden Manufacturing R2S Flash Hider is a durable muzzle device designed to reduce muzzle flash. While similar to the tried and true A2 bird cage flash hider, the R2S Flash Hider features outside threading for the ability to attach the Rearden Atlas/Atla XL and Q LLC Plan B Mounts for suppressors and blast diffusers using that thread pattern.

Flash Mitigation Technology

The R2S Flash Hider effectively minimizes flash signature, improving visibility in low-light environments by not blinding yourself with every shot and reducing visual signature.

Suppressor Mounting Capability

The streamlined outside threads ensure seamless and secure attachment with Rearden Atlas/Atlas XL and Q LLC Plan B suppressor mounts while not sticking out like a sore thumb.

Nitride or Naked Heat-Treated Options

Rearden offers the R2S in a black nitride finish or heat-treated option for users who like the look or plan on cerakoting it a different color anyway.

Both thread pitch muzzle devices have a .375 bore, ensuring that regardless of which thread pitch you need this device can be used with calibers as big as .338 Lapua and 9MM.

Wide Caliber Compatibility

Both thread pitch muzzle devices have a large .375 bore, meaning this device can be used with calibers as big as .350 Legend and 9MM.

  • .223/5.56
  • 6MM
  • 6.5MM/.264
  • 7.62MM/.308
  • 8.6MM/.338
  • 9MM/.350

Installation

Shims are not included, if you would like to specifically time this, shims will be required. Additionally, your barrel may require a shim if the manufacturer did not put a thread relief on it.

Torque the muzzle device to approximately 15-25 ft lbs. Make sure the muzzle device is square against the shoulder. When setting the silencer on the muzzle device, ensure that the threads and tapers are clean. Torque the suppressor to 10 ft lbs. Ensure alignment. Enjoy. The nitride finish does lead to a tighter seal, with that said, it is extremely important to torque and rockset your muzzle device to the barrel properly.
