Tame Your PCC with KVP’s 17-4 SS Carbine XP Recoil Spring

Pistol caliber carbines bring grin-inducing fun but can wreak havoc on AR-15 components without proper tuning. That’s where KVP’s XP recoil spring comes in. Engineered from durable 17-4 stainless steel, the XP spring packs extra preload to extend the dwell time in blowback PCC actions. This keeps the system closed longer for smoother cycling, less wear, and enhanced suppression capability.

Ideal for 9MM, 10MM, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP setups in carbine length buffers. The XP spring reduces felt recoil for improved control and quiets action noise for discretion. Stop babying your PCC – equip it with a proper blowback-taming recoil spring designed for the unique demands of pistol-caliber AR platforms. KVP’s 17-4 SS XP spring brings the reliability and tunability your PCC needs to run right.

XP Spring Features:

  • Increases AR-15’s dwell time in blowback setups
  • Increases Pre-load
  • Quiets action (better for suppression)
  • Reduces felt recoil
  • Designed only for Carbine Length Stock and pistol kits.

Extra Power Recoil Spring

1" shorter than my regular buffer spring, but definitely stronger. It took a little wrestling to get in the buffer tube. I have it paired with a Kaw Valley Precision 7½ oz PCC Buffer, which is an inch longer, so no spacer is required. The Extra Power Spring, mated with with the extra heavy buffer should lower bolt velocity, and stop the hammering blowback recoil.
