Going Into My Junk Parts Bin

I installed using the instructions found on the Fortis MFG youtube channel. Hand tightened, then (with a Real Avid armorer's wrench) tightened to two clicks. Immediately, I noticed that the buffer tube rotated slightly very easily. Maybe not tight enough. Then I tried to go to three clicks -- the castle nut turned under the lips on the end-plate and pushed the armorer's wrench off of the nut. This caused the nut to get dinged up a little. At three clicks, the buffer tube still rotated slightly. I knew that I would have to remove this and try this on another lower (just to be sure it wan't a problem with a specific lower). Removal caused the castle nut to ding up further. I tried it on a second lower with the same issue at two clicks. Removed and went back to mil-spec with no issues.

So sorry to hear about the issue, PLJ. Please reply to us via email we'd like to further help.

Works like a charm

Product was easy to install and works great, no need for staking. A little on the pricey side but it’s a quality product that looks good, does the job and easy to remove if needed. Recommend

Easy way to install and remove castle nut. No torqued, threadlocker, staking needed. To me that is worth the price, also looks cool...
